Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing the Rewarder application, or claiming loyalty points, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using the platform and participating in the reward program.
Receipt Submission Rules & AI Validation
To prevent abuse and maintain a fair rewards ecosystem, the following rules apply strictly to receipt scanning:
- Live Camera Capture: You must photograph the physical, printed receipt using your device's camera inside the scanner interface. Uploading screenshots, digital receipt images, or photographs off other screens (Screen-to-Screen spoofing) is strictly prohibited.
- AI Fraud Checks: Submissions are analyzed by automated models. Any attempt to upload synthetic, digitally altered, or duplicate receipts will trigger security flags.
- 15-Minute Age Limit: Receipts must be scanned within 15 minutes of the printed transaction timestamp. Out-of-window receipts are ineligible.
- Ownership: You may only scan receipts from your own purchases. Claiming points from other students' receipts is a violation of these terms.
Point System & Wallet Limits
Rewarder points are calculated automatically using client-side algorithms validated on the server.
- Point Formula: By default, points are awarded based on total spending (e.g., 1 point per $10 spent).
- 1,500 Point Cap: Users can hold a maximum of 1,500 points in their active wallet. Points earned beyond this cap are forfeited and cannot be claimed until active points are redeemed.
- Velocity Limits: Scans are restricted to a maximum of 2 claims per 3 hours and 3 claims per 24 hours per user ID.
Redemption & Expiration (5-Min Forfeiture)
Deducting points for rewards is permanent and operates under the following conditions:
- Instant Burn: Redemptions cost 500 points per Reward Token. Points are deducted instantly upon initiating a redemption request.
- 5-Minute Window: Generated Reward Tokens have a strict lifetime of 5 minutes (300 seconds). If a token expires before being verified, it is deleted and the burned points are permanently forfeited. No point refunds or reinstatements are permitted.
- Live Verification Only: To receive your reward, you must present the live verification slider screen to the canteen staff. The staff member must perform the swipe gesture on your live device screen. Screenshots, video recordings, or offline reproductions are invalid.
Security & Clock Integrity
We run server-synchronized checks to prevent fraud. The client-side verification timer is tied to a Monotonic Time Anchor. Any attempt to roll back your device clock, spoof your network location, intercept API requests, or bypass the verification slider will result in the immediate voiding of the active token, loss of points, and suspension of the associated Google account from the Rewarder program.
Program Modifications & Disclaimers
The Rewarder loyalty program is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The canteen committee reserves the right to modify point parameters, change eligible rewards, suspend user profiles, or terminate the loyalty program entirely at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
